Anirban is a student of cinema who grew up playing guitar and studying law in Calcutta, India. He has worked as an automotive filmmaker and photographer since 2021, gaining experience at broadcast channel CNBC-TV18 (Network18) and later at PowerDrift Studios Ltd. Seeking a deeper understanding of the nuances in visual storytelling, he began a Master’s degree in Directing (M.A. Filmmaking) at MetFilm School, Berlin. After a year of training, he graduated with Distinction with his documentary film 'The Second Sons' at the end of 2025. At present, he is employed at Mumbai-based production house Belief Films Pvt Ltd as an Associate Director and DA.
In his spare time he likes attending concerts, watching stand-up comedy and dislikes writing about himself in third person.
I've had the good fortune of directing and creating content-films for established brands like Samsung Mobiles, Hyundai Motors, The Berliner Magazine and Porsche India, amongst others. I love working as a colorist and as a photographer, I've been published and featured by NatGeoYourshot, NatGeoTraveller, Conde Nast, OutlookTraveller, LonelyPlanetMagazineIndia alongside doing commercial work for Triumph India, Ducati Australia, Suzuki Motorcycles and Tork Motors India.
